Why Join PSSA?
Because you instantly have access to a vibrant community of philosophers from various traditions! It also gives you access to a platform where Southern African philosophers network and keep up with research across philosophy departments. As a PSSA member, you will have an opportunity to present at the annual conference hosted by one of its member departments in South Africa. Moreover, your membership will qualify you for an online copy of the South African Journal of Philosophy.
Membership categories
There are three membership categories and associated fee structures:
- R150 per annum for Honours, MA and PhD students, as well as
postdoctoral fellows and members who are not permanently employed pay. - R500 for permanently employed members at lecturer level or outside of
academia but with an interest in what we do. - R1,000 per annum for Associate or Full Professors.
